CPEC Information website launched in Islamabad

Islamabad, Dec. 6: The launching ceremony of China Pakistan Economic Corridor Information website (cpecinfo.com), a web portal providing the latest updates about CPEC development projects, was held in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The ceremony was attended by diplomats, political leaders and foreign policy experts from Pakistan and abroad besides the officials of Chinese embassy.
During the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong gave high appreciation and sincere gratitude to Senator Mushahid Hussain, Chairman Pakistan China Institute, for his tireless efforts to promote China-Pakistan friendship through cultural exchanges and academic collaboration.
Elaborating the development pace of CPEC projects, ambassador said the construction of CPEC is a long-term process adding that we must insist on scientific planning as well as keep efficient and practical implementation of the project that is game changer for the region.
“The Silk Road Spirit is peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning as well mutual benefits and win-win outcome”, he added . The Belt and Road Initiative is based on the Silk Road Spirit.
CPEC is the major and pilot project of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013, Ambassador Sun said.
CPEC Project is a cluster of transportation links and power pipelines stretched between Gwadar Port of Pakistan and Kashgar city of China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
Experts say CPEC as an extension of China's One Belt and One Road Initiative will enhance regional connectivity, strengthen economic and trade ties between Asia, Africa and Europe.
